MongoDB, Inc. (NASDAQ: MDB) is a software company that provides a database platform for developers and organizations. On August 19, 2026, Citizens JMP Securities maintained its “Market Outperform” rating on MongoDB and raised its price target to $519 from $366.

The new target represented potential upside of approximately 19.4% from MongoDB’s August 18 closing price of $434.62. Citizens JMP said its sales checks remained strongly positive, with 14 of 15 data points showing improved sales attainment compared with the previous quarter. The firm also cited healthy enterprise and international public-sector demand.

Citizens JMP’s positive outlook follows several recent technological announcements from MongoDB. At MongoDB.local Build Fest, the company introduced Automated Embeddings in MongoDB Atlas, powered by Voyage AI, as well as the Atlas Embedding and Reranking API. These capabilities are designed to help AI applications retrieve relevant context from operational data.

MongoDB also introduced voyage-code-4, an embedding model developed specifically for code-retrieval applications. According to the company, the model is intended to help coding agents retrieve relevant information from software repositories more accurately.

The company also launched the MongoDB Atlas Managed MCP Server, a fully hosted service that connects AI agents to Atlas without requiring customers to install or maintain additional infrastructure. The service supports tools including Claude Code, Codex, Grok Build, and Devin. Developers can use it to query and inspect live MongoDB data, subject to their existing Atlas credentials and access controls.

MongoDB shares closed at $460.33 on August 14, down 2.53% for that session. However, the stock subsequently declined to $438.70 on August 17 and $434.62 on August 18. Despite the recent pullback, the shares remained substantially higher than their levels one month earlier.

MongoDB is scheduled to release its fiscal second-quarter results on September 1, 2026. According to Zacks, analysts expect adjusted earnings of $1.60 per share, representing a 60% increase from $1.00 in the prior-year quarter. The consensus revenue estimate of $733.61 million implies growth of approximately 24.1% from the $591.4 million reported a year earlier.
