Under typical market conditions, the fund commits at least 80% of its net assets, along with any capital obtained through borrowing for investment, to the securities that constitute its benchmark index. These index constituents are chosen according to a systematic, rule-based methodology developed by IndexIQ. A substantial portion of these underlying index components consists of equity securities from non-U.S. markets.
