Sirius XM (SIRI) Stock Rallies After Deutsche Bank Upgrade

Sirius XM Holdings Inc. (NASDAQ: SIRI) Rallies Following Deutsche Bank Upgrade

Sirius XM Holdings Inc. (NASDAQ: SIRI) is a leading North American audio entertainment company. Its businesses include the SiriusXM subscription service, Pandora, podcasts, and digital advertising solutions. The company competes for listeners and advertising revenue with platforms such as Spotify.

On September 2, 2026, Deutsche Bank upgraded SiriusXM from Hold to Buy and increased its price target from $31 to $45. Analyst Bryan Kraft cited an improving outlook for digital audio advertising, stability in the subscription-radio business, and expectations for higher revenue, adjusted EBITDA, and free cash flow. The firm also highlighted SiriusXM’s role as YouTube’s exclusive U.S. audio-advertising representative as a potential growth driver.

Following the announcement, SiriusXM shares rose approximately 6.3% to around $29.35 during the session. Because this was an intraday price, the final percentage change may differ at the market close.

Wells Fargo had separately upgraded SiriusXM from Underweight to Equal Weight on July 27, raising its target from $18 to $30. Analyst sentiment remains mixed. Before Deutsche Bank’s latest upgrade, the stock had four Buy, seven Hold, and three Sell ratings. Aggregate rating services continued to show a Hold consensus, although their average targets varied and may not yet have incorporated the new Deutsche Bank call.

Other recent targets demonstrate this range of opinions. Guggenheim maintained a Buy rating with a $35 target, while Barrington Research raised its target to $36 and retained an Outperform rating. Evercore’s previously reported target was $28, illustrating the continuing disagreement over SiriusXM’s growth prospects and valuation.
