This optimism is driven by GitLab’s better-than-expected second-quarter financial results. The company reported adjusted earnings per share of 24 cents, surpassing the consensus estimate of 18 cents. As highlighted by Zacks Investment Research, this represents an earnings surprise of 33.33%.
The company’s quarterly revenue also showed strong growth. Quarterly revenue reached $286.25 million, exceeding Wall Street’s estimate of $273.12 million. This represents a notable increase from the $235.96 million reported in the same quarter of the previous year. GitLab has now beaten revenue estimates for four consecutive quarters.
In response to these robust results, GitLab increased its financial guidance for fiscal 2027. The company now projects adjusted earnings per share of between 85 and 87 cents. It also raised its revenue outlook to a range of $1.129 billion to $1.133 billion.
