NVIDIA (NVDA) Projects Strong Growth, AI Market Leader

NVIDIA (NASDAQ: NVDA) Projects Robust Growth Amid AI Market Leadership

NVIDIA Corporation (NASDAQ: NVDA) is a leading accelerated computing and artificial intelligence company. It develops graphics processing units, data center computing platforms, networking products, and software used across AI, gaming, professional visualization, and automotive applications. On August 31, 2026, NVIDIA shares were trading at approximately $218.87.

NVIDIA’s positive outlook is supported by its strong financial results. The company reported record fiscal second-quarter 2027 revenue of $96.2 billion, representing an increase of 106% from the previous year and 18% from the preceding quarter. Its Data Center revenue reached $89 billion, rising 117% year over year, as demand for AI computing infrastructure remained exceptionally strong.

Looking ahead, NVIDIA provided a preliminary forecast for approximately 70% year-over-year revenue growth in fiscal 2028, considerably above the roughly 44% growth previously expected by Wall Street analysts. Management emphasized that the forecast reflects the company’s available supply capacity and that underlying customer demand remains even stronger.

NVIDIA expects higher memory costs to place pressure on its gross margin. Management projects gross margin will decline to approximately 71–72% in the fourth quarter of fiscal 2027 before settling between 72% and 73% in fiscal 2028 as previously announced price increases take effect.

Another important part of NVIDIA’s growth strategy is its $3.5 billion investment in MediaTek convertible bonds. The companies are expanding their collaboration across AI infrastructure, personal computing, and automotive technology. MediaTek will also gain access to NVIDIA’s NVLink Fusion platform, enabling it to develop custom AI chips that integrate with NVIDIA’s computing ecosystem.

NVIDIA is also broadening its customer base beyond major cloud providers, commonly known as hyperscalers. Its AI cloud, industrial, and enterprise segment generated approximately $40 billion in quarterly revenue and grew 138% year over year. Management expects non-hyperscaler customers—including sovereign AI projects, regional neo-cloud providers, enterprises, edge deployments, and air-gapped data centers—to represent roughly half of NVIDIA’s Data Center business.

Overall, NVIDIA continues to benefit from accelerating demand for AI infrastructure, rapid data center growth, and an increasingly diversified customer base. However, investors should also consider risks related to supply constraints, rising memory costs, gross-margin pressure, competition, and the company’s growing financial commitments across the AI ecosystem.
