Veeva Systems Inc. (NYSE:VEEV) is a leading provider of cloud-based software services. It specifically serves the life sciences industry, which includes pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies. Veeva Systems helps these organizations manage their critical operations, from clinical trials to sales and marketing, within a highly regulated environment.

Reflecting a positive outlook, Barclays analyst Saket Kalia recently increased the price target for Veeva Systems to $315 from $275. A price target is an analyst's projection of a stock's future price. This new target suggests a potential 28.73% increase from the stock's price of $244.69 at the time.

This confidence is supported by Veeva Systems' recent financial results. For its second quarter, the company reported adjusted earnings per share of $2.35. This result was 5.86% higher than the $2.22 per share expected by analysts, as highlighted by Zacks. This marks the fourth consecutive quarter Veeva Systems has beaten analyst estimates.

Revenue also exceeded expectations, reaching $927.96 million against a forecast of $905.28 million. A significant part of this comes from subscription revenues, which grew 16% to $766.8 million. This recurring subscription model helps Veeva Systems maintain high profitability, shown by its 86.4% subscription gross margin in the first quarter.

Looking ahead, management has raised its financial guidance for the full fiscal year 2027. The company is also targeting a $6 billion revenue run rate by 2030. As highlighted by Benzinga, CEO Peter Gassner notes that artificial intelligence (AI) and strong product performance are key drivers for Veeva Systems' future growth and efficiency.
