WD-40 Company (NASDAQ: WDFC) Reports Strong Q3 Earnings, Surpassing EPS and Revenue Estimates

WD-40 Company (NASDAQ: WDFC) is a global business that develops and sells maintenance products for workshop, home, and industrial use. It is best known for its signature multi-use product, WD-40. The company operates in the specialty chemical market, where its products are used by both consumers and industry professionals.

After the market close on July 9th, 2026, WD-40 Company reported strong third-quarter results. The company announced an earnings per share (EPS) of $2.33. As highlighted by Zacks, this figure significantly surpassed the consensus estimate of $1.58 per share and shows a notable increase from the $1.54 per share earned a year ago.

The company also posted impressive revenue of $195.12 million for the quarter ending May 31, 2026. This result exceeded analyst expectations of $172.79 million. The reported revenue represents a 24% year-over-year increase from the nearly $157 million recorded in the prior year's quarter, as noted by Business Wire.

This sales growth was driven by the strong performance of its maintenance products. This category, which accounts for 97% of total net sales, grew 26% to a record $189.70 million. The Americas region was a key contributor to this growth, with its sales increasing by 29% to $101.20 million.

Despite the strong results, the company warns that rising input costs may pressure its gross margins. However, WD-40 Company maintains a low debt-to-equity ratio of 0.09. It also has a current ratio of 2.65, which shows a strong ability to cover its short-term financial obligations like payroll and supplier payments.
